Portico was inspired by the historic porticoes that line the streets of Bologna—where my parents lived for many years—and Padova, where I later lived myself.

In Italy, these covered walkways are more than architecture; they’re part of everyday life. They create spaces where people slow down, gather, browse small shops, and experience food and community together.

I wanted to bring a small piece of that feeling to Lubbock through an immersive Italian porch market experience centered around tradition, hospitality, and discovery.

At Portico, you’ll find a rotating selection of handmade Italian pastries, baked goods, sauces, and savory specialties inspired by the regions and recipes I grew up with—offered in a warm, self-serve market atmosphere designed to feel both personal and transportive.
